Aperitivo
We're adding something brand spanking new to the Bløm lineup. A few years ago, during a trip to Spain, we fell in love with a Spanish cider-based sipping vermouth. We visited many a vermouth bar and sampled everything we could get our hands on. Then we landed back in the States and, sadly, just couldn't find a bottle of what we were missing - something bright, fruity, bitter, deep, perfect for sipping straight, over ice, or as a spritz. So, as is our way, we decided to make it. For the past few years we've been working away on ingredient sourcing, recipes, labels, packaging, tasting... and it's finally ready.
We'd love to introduce you to the Bløm Aperitivo - similar to a sipping vermouth but made with a fortified and aromatized local cider base. It's rested on local bittering herbs before introducing local fruit to bring the flavor into a refreshing balance. An aperitivo is meant to "open" your palate and your appetite before a meal. It's a social hour before dinner to unwind and be in good company. We hope this aperitivo will find a spot on your table as you spend time with friends and family this season.
HOW TO ENJOY
Neat
Pour a few ounces into a small glass and enjoy in place of a cocktail or glass of wine. Perfect in chillier months.
Over ice
Fill a small tumbler with ice, add aperitivo. Top with an optional orange slice or green olive. Delicious year round.
Spritz
Fill a glass with ice. Add 2oz aperitivo and 4oz soda water. Garnish with a citrus wedge and a briny olive. A great summer refresher!
