Join the Bløm Meadworks and Vertex Coffee Roasters Fairy Door Competition! Design and build a fairy door and the winner’s door will be installed at Bløm Meadworks or Vertex Coffee Roasters. Here is how it works:

• Pick up a bag of recycled materials (sourced from SCRAP Box) from Bløm or Vertex during open hours the week of October 12th or find your own recycled materials

• Create your fairy door at home

• Bring your finished door to the establishment for which you designed it (either Bløm or Vertex) by October 30th

• All doors will be displayed for 1 week for voting by the public. Winners will be announced on November 6th

• All participants will receive a free beverage from Vertex or Bløm and the winners will receive a gift card and enamel pin from wherever their door is installed!

Disclaimers: Your door must be built at home. Your door should be able to withstand weather. Your door should be around 4-6 inches tall and wide.

Ideas for Vertex Door:

We love the colors in our logo as well as greys.  We like triangles and of course coffee.  We have a Little Free Library and a little garden.  We love sustainability and zero waste.  

Ideas for Bløm Door: 

Apples, honey, bees, hexagons, honeycombs - add a little Bløm to your fairy door! ! We love big bold colors - like our main honey gold color - and all things related to mead and cider.  We’re located downtown Ann arbor on 4th Ave, so feel free to incorporate some downtown A2 in there, too!
